A hernia (=rupture) is a gap in the abdominal wall.
A typical sign of a hernia is an outward bulging under the skin, in the groin area or on the stomach. Pain may be felt when getting up, stretching or coughing.
In case of such a gap, there is a risk that intestinal loops may get wedged in. In that case, surgery will be necessary. Dr. Salehi and his team have specialized in surgical interventions of this kind. Such an intervention may be carried out as an out-patient procedure or as a short in-patient procedure, with or without a synthetic net. We will be pleased to advise you with regard to the treatment necessary for you.
